More than a million people live in Douglas and Arapahoe Counties. Yet access to aquatic facilities hasn’t grown alongside our communities’ needs, from water safety and youth sports to fitness, rehabilitation, and first responder training.
Through a planned long-term land lease with Douglas County, Colorado Aquatics Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is working to change that.

Douglas County’s First 50-Meter Pool Facility
The planned Colorado Aquatic Center will be open to the public with membership and daily drop-in options, serving individuals, families, schools, aquatic teams and clubs, and first responders.
Two complementary pools. Freedom to learn, build confidence, find community, and discover what’s possible.
So much more than swimming.
From artistic swimming and aquatic clinics to STEM education and specialized public safety and underwater programs, the possibilities extend far beyond traditional aquatics. We’re also exploring training opportunities with Colorado Parks and Wildlife and South Metro Fire Rescue.

25-Yard Instructional Pool
A dedicated warm-water pool for swim lessons, therapy, fitness, and adaptive programming. Where a child takes their first strokes, someone finds their footing again, and everyone has a place in the water.
Configurable 50-Meter Pool
A movable bulkhead allows multiple programs to run at once, while a deeper section supports diving, scuba, and rescue training. A place to find your community, chase your goals, and prepare for the moments that matter most.
