Who We Are

Colorado Aquatics Foundation, Inc. ("CAF," "we," "us," "our") is a Colorado 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 93-2929414) developing the Colorado Aquatic Center within the Zebulon Regional Sports Complex. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information you share through our website.

Information We Collect

When you interact with our website, we may collect:

• Contact information you provide through forms, such as your name and email address (for example, when subscribing to project updates or contacting us).
• Donation information processed through our secure payment provider, including your name, email, billing address, and gift amount. We do not store full credit or debit card numbers on our systems.
• Usage and device data, if you accept analytics cookies, such as pages visited, interactions with the site, device and browser information, and approximate location. See "Analytics and Cookies" below.

How We Use Your Information

• To process and acknowledge your donation and send you a tax receipt.
• To deliver the project updates or newsletters you signed up to receive.
• To respond to your questions and requests.
• To understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

How We Protect Your Information

Donation payments are handled by our payment processor over encrypted connections. We limit access to personal information to authorized personnel who need it to operate the campaign and fulfill donor requests. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Analytics and Cookies

With your permission, we use website analytics (currently Google Analytics) to understand how our site is used and to improve it. Analytics tools may use cookies and similar technologies and may collect device and browser information, pages visited, interactions with the site, and approximate location based on your IP address. This information is not anonymous in every case, and the analytics provider processes it under its own privacy policy.

Analytics cookies are optional. When you first visit, we ask whether you accept or reject them. Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set unless you accept. Rejecting them does not affect how the website works, including forms and donations. You can change your choice at any time:

Hosting platform data

Our website is delivered by a third-party hosting platform (currently Base44). To deliver, secure, and operate the site, the platform may collect basic technical and traffic information independently of our optional Google Analytics, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, referring page, approximate location, and request logs. This supports essential hosting, security, fraud and abuse prevention, performance, and operations, and may include basic traffic statistics made available to us.

This is different from optional analytics tracking. Your cookie choice controls only Google Analytics. Rejecting analytics cookies does not turn off platform-level data collection that is necessary to run and protect the site. Our payment providers may likewise use cookies or technical logs needed to process payments securely. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Technology and Third-Party Service Providers

Like most nonprofits, we rely on outside companies to run our website, process gifts, and communicate with supporters. These providers process information on our behalf, only for the services we use them for, and each has its own privacy policy. Sharing information with them so they can provide these services is not a sale of your personal information.

Services we use today

• Website hosting and infrastructure. Our website and the information you submit through its forms are hosted on a third-party application platform (currently Base44).
• Website analytics (with your consent). We use Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies, to measure how visitors use our site. See "Analytics and Cookies" above.
• CRM and supporter management. We use HubSpot to manage supporter relationships and communications. Information you give us through our website is not automatically sent to HubSpot. We may add contacts manually, and may connect our website to our CRM in the future, in which case we will keep this policy current.
• Email communications. We send receipts, confirmations, and the updates you signed up for through email delivery services (currently Resend and the email tools built into our hosting platform). Our subscriber list is kept in our website database, and a copy is also maintained in a spreadsheet tool (currently Google Sheets) used by our team.
• Donation and payment processing. Online card gifts are processed through a third-party payment service (currently Base44 Payments). We also accept gifts by other methods, such as Zelle, which are handled by the sender's bank and the payment network. Card numbers are entered with the payment service, and we do not store them.

Services we may use in the future

As CAF grows, we may add other tools. The following are examples. Unless we say otherwise on this page, you should not assume we currently use them.

• Social media advertising and lead generation (being set up). We are preparing Facebook and Instagram advertising and lead generation through Meta, and no campaign is running yet. When one runs, information you submit through a Meta lead form would be collected through Meta and provided to us, and Meta's privacy policy would apply on its platforms. We may also add or connect tools to receive those leads, but we have not verified any automatic transfer to our CRM.
• Advertising and campaign measurement tracking. Tracking technologies from advertising platforms, such as the Meta Pixel, which can record visits and actions on our site to measure and improve ad campaigns. We have not enabled these on our website.
• Giveaway and promotional campaigns. Services that help us run drawings, raffles, or promotions and collect entry information.
• Other service providers. Accounting, fundraising, event, survey, security, and other vendors that support our nonprofit operations.

If we add tools that use cookies or similar technologies for advertising, we will update this policy and, where required, offer you choices. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.

When providers change

We may switch or add providers over time, so the companies named above are examples and not a complete or permanent list. Our commitments stay the same whichever companies we work with:

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We share only what a provider needs to deliver its service, and we choose providers that use appropriate safeguards.
• We honor your communication preferences, including unsubscribe requests, across any system we use.
• We update this policy when our actual data practices or legal obligations materially change.

Your Choices

You can unsubscribe from project updates at any time using the link in any email we send. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, email us at jerrod@coloradoaquatics.org.

Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our programs and practices evolve. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
