Colorado Aquatics Foundation translates authoritative drowning-prevention guidance into practical education for Colorado families and communities. The library is organized into four collections: Understand the Risk, Build the Layers, Water Safety in Colorado, and Build Water-Safer Communities.

Understand the Risk

Foundational information about drowning prevention, water competency, risk, and evidence-based prevention.

Water Safety in Colorado

Colorado-specific information about pools, reservoirs, lakes, rivers, cold water, boating, paddling, weather, and other relevant aquatic environments.

Build Water-Safer Communities

Resources about aquatic access, education, community partnerships, facilities, programming, and the infrastructure that allows communities to put water-safety knowledge into practice.

Colorado Aquatics Foundation logo

Colorado Aquatics Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to the advancement of water safety and drowning prevention, aquatic access, and aquatic sports across Colorado. The Foundation is also developing the Colorado Aquatic Center, envisioned as part of the proposed Zebulon Regional Sports Complex in Douglas County, to facilitate this mission.
